Your intrepid reporter (that’s ME! WEEEEEE!) has been invited to the Grand Opening of The WIRED Store! I will be taking copious notes and returning here with all the info I can possibly absorb.

Magazine’s Retail Store Returns With More Than 75 of the Hottest Gadgets This Holiday Shopping Season

Grand Opening on Friday, Nov. 17, 2006

WIRED Magazine brings to life its unique brand of hip gadget advice with the return of its pop-up retail store. The WIRED Store will allow customers to experience more than 75 products ranging from the new Sony PS3 to a weightless flight with Zero G to a Pre-Fab Living Home and much more.

The WIRED Store will host a range of events including:

Wired Wheels – Free Infiniti shuttles for WIRED Store purchasers on the weekends. Rides are limited to Manhattan below 34th Street

WIRED Music Spotlight Series – Diverse cutting-edge labels with DJs/live performances Wednesday nights from 6-9 PM

Pink Light Specials-Featured store product giveaways on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Shoppers can enter to win in store, online, and via their cell phones by texting “Pink” to 94733

Weekend Warm Ups – Stop by on Saturday and Sundays from 11-1 and choose from a selection of hot drinks from Tassimo

Editor’s Gift Picks – Free advice from WIRED Product Editor Mark McClusky on the best gadgets and gizmos featured in WIRED TEST 2007

Grand opening Friday, Nov. 17 at 12:00 p.m.; Shoppers will be able to sample experience and purchase the latest and greatest gadgets this holiday season.

WIRED Store will be open from Nov. 17-Dec. 31
Store hours: Wednesday-Friday from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m.;
Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
