bioshock Bioshock goes gold!Bioshock, the new game for the Xbox 360 and PC, has now gone gold. In gaming lingo that means that the game is now completely finished in all ways and is being manufactured for sales. Bioshock is the spiritual sequel to the game System Shock 2, also made by developer Irrational Games. It is a Sci-Fi first person shooter; meaning that you play the game through the viewpoint of the character. General manager, Ken Levine has said that he cannot tell anyone which character you play, as that would give away too much of the story. The setting is in 1960 where an underwater utopia (named Rapture) was built but it has now turned into a Dystopia (a utopia gone awry). Rapture had been developed to escape World War II. They assembled the best scientists of the time period and made Rapture. Because it was filled with only scientists and there was no real government to speak of all of he scientists could conduct any experiments that they wanted. The city is now pretty much deserted (except for the monsters you fight).

Not much is known as to why you are in Rapture but we hope to find out more when the game releases on August 21.
