Hi Gary,

How would you rate the SA6 against the Klipsch Custom 3?

I am interested in a IEM in this ballpark but have yet to audition either. I currently use Shure SCL2's (which I enjoy and after having them for a couple of years, I know I'm hearing all they will give and know there is better out there.)So I recently found a local shop that caries the full range of shure IEM's and have auditioned the lines from se310, se420 and the se530. It was easy to hear why the se530 is such a loved IEM. I did also enjoy what the se420 had to offer as well but found them a little too forcefull presence, especially when compared to the bigger brother se530 'laid back' feeling. There is definitely more open stage presence to the se530. The se310's too me are clean and articulate (wrt scl2), but really dropped off in the lower frequencies. Bass was quick and clean but way too light for my taste (and I'm not a Bass freek).

So where do the C3's and SA6's stack in? Both of these are offered at the same price at a reputable on line store, very much under the SRP. From what I hear, I'm currently leaning for the Klipsch.

I know you are a fan of the Klipsch product line, I too can appreciate after recently auditioning old Forte II speakers (absolutely amazing!)...I love their old gear, but the wife factor and floor space prevents my purchase.

If you have the time let me know which way you'd lean and if you had any detail...that would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance,
