The new Kensington wired mouse retails for about $20 is well worth the price. This mouse is small, stylish, and feels great to hold. The mouse has a thin, sleek look to it. It is colored a smooth black which resists showing fingerprints. The scroll wheel has a nice texture and scrolls without making a loud, annoying noise. The mouse is very accurate but with that also comes some sensitivity. Eventually you get used to it and the over-sensitivity is a distant memory.

The mouse itself is very low profile, literally. It is an extremely slender mouse that practically hugs the ground. The Ci73 is back heavy which creates a little drag when moving side-to-side. The rubber sides of the mouse make it very easy to hold on to so slips are not a problem. While the mouse may not fall out of your hands, the cord may get tangled around your computer. Everyone hat3s it when a cord is not long enough but to avoid this, Kensington went a little overboard with a five foot long cord. It’s just too long for mobile use. After adjusting the many options for the mouse to your liking, doing minute details in Photoshop are no problem. This mouse may have a few small set backs, but for the low price, this is one of the best mice you can get.

Kensington Ci70 Wireless Mouse Review:

k72301us 18465 Kensington ci70/ci73 Mouse ReviewThe Ci70 is basically a wireless version of the Ci73, but with a few cosmetic differences. The mouse has a different texture, it feels more like a rough plastic or a plastic/rubber combination. The color is a dark gray/black with a few color highlights around the scroll wheel. Unlike some wireless mice that require a complex set up with the computer, all you have to do with this mouse is plug in the receiver to your computer’s USB port and your set. It really is that simple. The mouse is just as accurate, if not more so, than the wired one.

A very nice feature of this mouse is its intelligence in saving battery power. It is very smart about figuring out whether you are using the mouse or not and turns itself off after about a minute of not using it. I’ve used the mouse plenty for about a month and I have never had to replace the cheap batteries I put in it. You can use your computer to change the settings and sensitivity of the mouse, just like the wired one. Since there is no cord, this mouse is extremely mobile and discreet. You could easily fit it in your pocket, though I doubt that would be comfortable – unless you used a shirt or jacket pocket – but I’m not here for fashion advice come to think of it.

In all, if you have a choice, shell out the extra ten dollars for the wireless one. It is far superior.
